notesake.com [web 2.0 review]
Notesake.com is a free service that you can use to organize and store your notes you take in class. One of the coolest things I found was that you can post your notes and share them with others. Imagine if you were sick for a class but could still go online and get the notes for that day, or be able to compare what you interpreted the class topics to be against your friends perception.

The following table shows various topics for lectures in ‘Physics 101′ with helpful information such as when the class took place, topics and keywords for that class.

I’ve been out of college for a number of years (don’t ask how many..) but if I was still in school I could see teaming up with fellow classmates and all agreeing as to who would post to the site. Very convenient, and with most schools having Wi-Fi, practical. In addition the Web 2.0 userinterface is clean and easy to use, thumbs up to the team at notesake.com

phonezoo.com [web 2.0 review]
PhoneZoo.com is a site to create and share ringtones with others including those in your network that you manage on the phonezoo site. This is a cool web 2.0 site that focuses on a real need (want) with today’s teens and 20 somethings.

Some of the things you can do:
- Create custom ringtones for free and save them in My Zoo
- Add copies of ringtones others have created to My Zoo
- Add people to your list of “Friends” and see the ringtones they have created
- Rate and comment on the ringtones people have posted
A cool thing about the Phonezoo site is the ability to search for ringtones that you can download to your phone, see if there copyrighted and also how popular…

See who’s online, how many ringtones the member has created and the newest members at ‘the Zoo’.

Overall I liked the site and having searched in vain for ringtones in the past, I am glad to have found phonezoo. Based on the traffic observed on Alexa, it appears the web community also has embraced Phonezoo…

chow.com [web 2.0 review]
Are you in the mood for Oregano-Marinated Grilled Chicken with Charred Lemons or Lavender-Scented Fruit Parfait or Rice Crackers with Goat Cheese and Edamame 0r Hoisin-Marinated Tri-Tip Roast ?

Well at Chow.com you can research and view step by step recipes to create a masterful dinner… Learn about Wine, Restaurants and research different locations. Watch videos on various topics to see first hand how to cook a particular dish, how to dice a vegetable, how to set a table or may other various topics we all could help on.

I can’t express enough how much I liked chow.com. I printed out a few recipes and will certainly try out a few recipes this week.

cofoundr.com [web 2.0 review]
We just visited cofoundr.com and found it to be a Web 2.0 site connecting Entrepreneurs, Investors, Designers, Developers and Business Development Experts. I signed up and was able to create a profile and be online fairly quickly. There is a section for posting ideas that you would like feedback on and site members can comment and critique. I can see the value in getting objective opinions given my experience launching several startups in the past….

I liked this site though it appears to be new and the number of registered site visitors low. There is definitly room out there for LinkedIn competitors but more features need to be built into the system or repeat visitor traffic will be low (IMHO).
