welcome to jeela.com - beyond web 2.0 and all that's hot and cutting edge in web technologies.....

notesake.com [web 2.0 review]

Notesake.com is a free service that you can use to organize and store your notes you take in class. One of the coolest things I found was that you can post your notes and share them with others. Imagine if you were sick for a class but could still go online and get the notes for that day, or be able to compare what you interpreted the class topics to be against your friends perception.

The following table shows various topics for lectures in ‘Physics 101′ with helpful information such as when the class took place, topics and keywords for that class.

I’ve been out of college for a number of years (don’t ask how many..) but if I was still in school I could see teaming up with fellow classmates and all agreeing as to who would post to the site.  Very convenient, and with most schools having Wi-Fi, practical. In addition the Web 2.0 userinterface is clean and easy to use, thumbs up to the team at notesake.com

chow.com [web 2.0 review]

Are you in the mood for Oregano-Marinated Grilled Chicken with Charred Lemons or Lavender-Scented Fruit Parfait or Rice Crackers with Goat Cheese and Edamame 0r Hoisin-Marinated Tri-Tip Roast ?

Well at Chow.com you can research and view step by step recipes to create a masterful dinner… Learn about Wine, Restaurants and research different locations. Watch videos on various topics to see first hand how to cook a particular dish, how to dice a vegetable, how to set a table or may other various topics we all could help on.

I can’t express enough how much I liked chow.com. I printed out a few recipes and will certainly try out a few recipes this week.

adperk.com [beyond web 2.0 review]

Innovative, disruptive (in a good way of course), adperk.com is poised to make a big splash….

Concept: Users watch commercials from different categories and get free items in exchange for their time.

Reality:  Users watch commercials and get free magazines (There does not appear to be a large selection right now).

When more advertisers sign up and there are numerous commercials and in addition there is a greater variety of rewards, this site will make oodles of money.  It was clear and easy to use, it’s just a matter of adoption.

Users watch the short commercials and are forced to enter the word shown at the end of the video in order to earn credits. Credits can be used to earn magazines, but imagine earning ‘Sky Miles’ or coupons to use at a restaurant or 20 cents off at a gas station. The possibilities are endless.

bubblecaption.com [web 2.0 review]

We have reviewed many sites on jeela.com but this is 1 that will have an immediate impact (IMHO). CaptionBubble.com / BubbleCaption.com allows anyone with a MySpace, Facebook or any blog owner to point to any picture (or upload) and add text bubbles to relevant and interesting areas of a picture.

There are people with graphic editing software but this allows you to do it all online and then point to a URL on the BubbleCaption website and include it on your page.

Below is the slick UI built in Flash that allows you to drag and drop text bubbles on to a picture and save it…

And here is the actual image on BubbleCaption.com
