welcome to jeela.com - beyond web 2.0 and all that's hot and cutting edge in web technologies.....

lingr.com [web 2.0 review]

Lingr.com is a public (no account needed) chat website where users can chat about whatever and to whomever they want. The UI is of a web 2.0 flavor and performs very well in the chatroom I visited.

The site seems to be visited by many different countries as was evident in chatrooms where many different languages were present.

My overall impression was that this was definitely web 2.0 but nothing that was revolutionary. I feel there are several similar sites out there including campfire.com and zoho.com that offer the same if not better features.

Lingr has a few desktop tools (Lingr Radar and Lingr Notifier) available so you can stay in tune with what is going on in select chat rooms. These are nice to have but it was hard to determine how much they were used.

Very blah… There are many competitors out there that do it way better.
